Ella's Got Two Tours to Juggle This Summer, and We're Here for All of It
Between her own Dandelion headline dates and a stack of stadium nights opening for Morgan Wallen, Ella's calendar this summer is about as full as it gets.
We've spent so much of the spring watching Ella climb the charts that it's easy to forget the other half of her year is happening on the road, and looking at June it's about to get busy in a way that's worth getting our heads around now.
There are really two things going on at once. The first is her own run, The Dandelion Tour, where she's the headliner and the night is built around her. The June stretch of that tour swings through Oklahoma City on the 18th, then over to the Kansas City area, and out east later in the month to Salem, Virginia and Wilmington, North Carolina. These are the shows where you get the full set, the deep cuts, and the rotating cast of openers she's been bringing along — names like Kaitlin Butts and Kameron Marlowe.
The second thing is the part that still kind of amazes us. Ella also has the direct support slot on a big chunk of Morgan Wallen's Still The Problem stadium tour, and she's the only act landing on that many of the dates — nine of them, by most counts. That's a different animal entirely: football stadiums, tens of thousands of people, the kind of stage where "I Can't Love You Anymore" gets to land in front of a crowd that already knows every word. The first of those stadium nights lands later this month.
What we keep thinking about is the math of it. Headlining your own arena tour is a full-time job. So is opening stadiums for the biggest act in the format. Doing both in the same summer, in the same year you swept the ACMs and parked two songs at the top of the Hot 100, is a genuinely wild amount to take on. If you've been wanting to catch her live, this is the summer the chances pile up — between the headline dates and the stadium stops, she's going to be just about everywhere.
We'll be tracking the recaps as these shows roll in, especially that first stadium night. For now, if you're sitting on tickets to any of it, you picked a good year to be an Ella fan.
