'Be Her' Is Now Ella's Longest-Reigning Country Airplay No. 1

We've been keeping a close eye on "Be Her" all month, and this week it crossed a line none of Ella's other singles ever have. On the Country Airplay chart dated June 27, "Be Her" holds at No. 1 for a fourth straight week — making it the longest-leading hit of her entire career on that chart.

Why a Fourth Week Matters

Holding No. 1 on Country Airplay for four weeks is genuinely hard. Radio adds slow down, newer singles crowd in, and most chart-toppers get a week or two before they slip. "Be Her" keeps climbing instead. Billboard logged 34.2 million audience impressions in the June 12-18 tracking week, which is the kind of number that keeps a song stuck to the top spot.

This run also passes her own previous best. "Choosin' Texas" spent three nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 back in February and March, so until now that was the bar. "Be Her" cleared it.

The Company She's Keeping

Here's the part that made us sit up. A four-week reign by a solo-billed woman, with no other credited acts on the song, is rare enough that Billboard reaches all the way back to 2007 for the comparison. "Be Her" now ties Miranda Lambert's "The House That Built Me" and Reba McEntire's "Consider Me Gone" — each a four-week Country Airplay No. 1 — as the longest-commanding solo hits by women since Taylor Swift's "Our Song" ruled for six weeks.

Lambert, Reba, Swift. That's the tier "Be Her" just stepped into, and Ella did it with a song that's still very much in heavy rotation rather than on its way out.

The timing couldn't be better. "Be Her" was already her fastest-flying Country Airplay No. 1 when it first hit the top, and the staying power now backs up the speed. Pair that with her record-setting three simultaneous top 10s earlier this month and it's clear radio isn't done with her — it's leaning in harder.
