Ella Langley Just Picked Up Five New RIAA Certifications

We woke up to a good one. The RIAA just handed Ella five new gold and platinum certifications in a single batch, and it reads like a highlight reel of the last three years of her catalog.

The headliner is no surprise: "Choosin Texas" notched yet another platinum run, its sixth, and is now sitting at 6 million units in the U.S. For a song that most people didn't have on their radar when it first came out, that number is genuinely wild. The RIAA milestone usually takes a mainstream artist one to three years to hit, and Ella wasn't exactly a household name when this one dropped. Now it's the song that put her in the country music history books, and it's still climbing.

But the part we love is everything else that got certified alongside it, because it shows how her whole catalog is getting pulled up in the wake of a big year. "Girl You're Taking Home," the 15th track off 2024's Hungover, went platinum for the first time. Her Koe Wetzel duet "That's Why We Fight" crossed a million units and earned its own platinum plaque, a nice jump from the gold it got back in 2025. "Excuse The Mess," the title track from her 2023 EP, cleared 500,000 units. And "Never Met Anyone Like You," her gorgeous, gut-punch collaboration with HARDY, picked up a gold certification.
