Why Ella Langley Filled Her 2026 Tour With Women Openers

Ella Langley filled her 2026 Dandelion Tour with women openers like Kaitlin Butts, Gabriella Rose and Laci Kaye Booth. Here's who they are and why it matters.

GOING TO THE SHOW?

Get ready for the show

Lock in tickets before prices move, then gear up — and if you're travelling in, sort your stay and ride below.

Scroll the lineup for any night of the Dandelion Tour and you notice the same thing we did: the names before Ella Langley are almost all women. That isn't an accident, and it isn't a small thing in a genre where the opening slot on a big arena run usually goes to whichever act radio has already vouched for. Langley used the most valuable real estate she controls — the stage right before hers — to put a run of women in front of arena crowds, and she's been open about why.

Who Ella Langley picked to open the tour

Across the Dandelion Tour's spring and fall legs, the support slots have rotated through Kaitlin Butts, Gabriella Rose, Laci Kaye Booth, Avery Anna, and Madeline Edwards — a lineup of women at very different points in their careers. Some have had a radio moment; some haven't yet. That's the part Rolling Stone singled out as "extraordinary": country tours normally lean on lower-risk openers who've already charted, and Langley went the other way on purpose.

She's said the picks were personal, not strategic. "I am such a big fan of Kaitlin Butts, Gabriella Rose and Laci Kaye Booth, so it was a YES when we found out they were available and wanted to," Langley told Variety. If you want the full night-by-night breakdown of which artist is on which date, our rundown of who's opening for Ella Langley on the Dandelion Tour keeps the assignments straight.

Why it matters to the women she chose

The openers have not been quiet about what the slot has meant. Kaitlin Butts — whose career got a real jolt after Langley posted a video using Butts' "You Ain't Gotta Die (To Be Dead To Me)" — called Langley "such a role model for what skyrocketing with grace looks like." Laci Kaye Booth put the bigger picture plainly: "The strength it takes to be a woman at the top of this industry is almost unfathomable," she said, adding that "the grace it takes to turn around and extend a hand to other women along the way is something extraordinary."

That's the whole idea in one sentence. A headliner's opening slot is a spotlight she can point wherever she wants, and Langley keeps pointing it at women who haven't had one that big yet.

It's the same thing Miranda Lambert did for her

If this feels familiar, it should. Langley has been candid that she's on the receiving end of exactly this kind of hand-up — from Miranda Lambert, who co-wrote and co-produced her career record and told her, during a hard stretch, that she was more important than the job. We got into that whole relationship in our look at the Ella Langley and Miranda Lambert mentorship. Booking women openers is Langley running the same playbook one rung down the ladder: someone helped her up, so she's holding the door for the next ones.

Catching one of the shows

The opener is worth showing up early for on this run — you're getting a real set from an artist on the way up, not a filler slot.
