Ella Langley at CMA Fest 2026: Set Times, Nissan Stadium Tips & What to Expect
Ella Langley plays the Nissan Stadium nightly show on opening night of CMA Fest 2026. Here is everything you need to know before you go.
CMA Fest opens June 4, 2026, and Ella Langley is on the Nissan Stadium bill for opening night. We wrote about the announcement the moment it dropped -- see the full news post here -- and if you are going, this is the guide we wish we had before our first CMA Fest experience.
Nashville in June is a different animal than a standard stop on the Dandelion Tour. This page covers everything: logistics, what to expect from the show format, how to navigate the week, and what to pack.
CMA Fest runs June 4 through 7, 2026. It is the biggest annual country music gathering in the world. Four days of shows across multiple stages, free daytime stages on Broadway, ticketed evening shows at Bridgestone Arena, and the centerpiece: the nightly stadium shows at Nissan Stadium that bring out the biggest names in the format.
The stadium shows are multi-artist events. Think: one big night, multiple headliner-level acts, a packed crowd of 70,000. It is not like going to see Ella headline her own show at an arena. It is more like a country music Super Bowl halftime every single night for four days.
If you are there specifically for Ella, opening night -- Thursday June 4 -- is your night.
We are not going to make up exact set times because they shift right up until show day. What we can tell you from experience is how these things work:
- Gates at Nissan Stadium typically open in the late afternoon for evening stadium shows
- Multiple artists perform in sequence, each playing a condensed set
- Ella is on the opening-night bill; her position in the lineup is subject to the CMA's confirmed schedule
- Check cmafest.com directly once the full set schedule is published -- it goes up usually a week or two before the event and is the only reliable source
What you can plan around: she will not be the only act, so if you are traveling specifically for her set, build a buffer and be in your seats by the time the show kicks off. Artists sometimes slot earlier than expected, and the stadium fills fast on opening night.
Nissan Stadium sits right on the Cumberland River in downtown Nashville, and it is a big venue. A few things that matter for CMA Fest:
Clear-bag policy is enforced. One clear tote or crossbody no larger than 12x6x12 inches, or a small non-transparent clutch no larger than 4.5x6.5 inches. Anything that does not fit the policy does not get through. We have a full breakdown of the best bags in our clear bags guide -- grab one before you arrive in Nashville, not at the gift shop in the airport.
Arrive earlier than you think you need to. Nissan Stadium security lines for CMA Fest move slowly by design -- 70,000 people, bag checks, the works. Plan to be in line at least 90 minutes before the first act hits. If you want a good standing position or want to grab a drink before the music starts, add another 30 minutes to that.
Parking and getting there. The stadium has surface lots around it, but they fill up hours early for CMA Fest shows. The options that actually work: rideshare from your hotel or a drop point a few blocks away, or take the Music City Trolley Hop if it is running during fest week. If you do drive, lot prices will be high and traffic out is brutal -- budget an hour after the show before you are moving.
Open-air seating. It is June in Tennessee, which means heat and the possibility of an evening thunderstorm. Dress for both. A lightweight rain poncho packs to nothing and costs ten dollars of regret if you skip it. The temperature usually drops 10 to 15 degrees once the sun goes down, so a layer helps even on a clear night.
Food and drink. Stadium prices apply. Cash tips at the bar earn faster service. There is no shortage of places to eat in Nashville before the show -- eat before you walk through the gates and you will be fine.
CMA Fest stadium shows are different from a headline run in a few real ways.
Shorter set. A headline Ella show on the Dandelion Tour runs 90 minutes to two hours with a full band production. A CMA Fest stadium slot is typically more compact. She will hit the big songs, probably lean into the Dandelion material, and the whole thing will feel like the best 30 to 45 minutes of country music you have ever stood through in a stadium.
Big production, different energy. The stadium setup at CMA Fest is designed for television and for scale -- the screens are enormous, the audio system is festival-grade, and you are watching with 70,000 people who are all genuinely excited to be there. It is louder, faster, and more communal than an arena headline. That is a good thing.
She plays to the whole crowd. In a headline show, the floor and the pit are the focus. At a stadium fest, she plays to all four levels equally. Section 300 gets the same show as the floor, which is the part that surprises most people the first time.
If you are in Nashville for the full week, there is a lot going on beyond the stadium shows.
Free daytime stages. The Fan Fair X experience at the Music City Convention Center and the free Broadway stages run all day, every day. Multiple artists, no extra ticket required beyond what you have for the nightly shows. This is where you sometimes catch up-and-comers doing full sets for free before they blow up.
Merch and the Nashville scene. Broadway is packed wall to wall during CMA Fest week. Every honky-tonk has a band. The Ryman does its own programming. If you have never been to Nashville, build in two extra hours to just walk Lower Broadway and absorb it before you go to the stadium each night.
Other nightly shows. Bridgestone Arena hosts ticketed shows on most nights. The full lineup is at cmafest.com. If you are there Thursday through Saturday, you can catch two or three different stadium nights with different lineups.
June in Nashville runs hot. The crowd at CMA Fest is wall-to-wall western, so you will fit in anywhere from boots-and-a-snap-shirt to plain jeans and a tee. Our complete what-to-wear guide covers the full outfit breakdown, and our concert checklist has the printable prep list.
The short version for a CMA Fest stadium night:

- Portable phone charger -- you will film clips, text the group, and check the set schedule all night
- Earplugs if you are on the floor or near the stage -- Loop Experience 2 are the pick
- Closed-toe shoes you can stand in for four-plus hours
- A light layer for after sundown

Frequently asked questions
When does Ella Langley play CMA Fest 2026?
Ella Langley is on the Nissan Stadium lineup for opening night of CMA Fest 2026 -- Thursday, June 4. Check cmafest.com for the confirmed set schedule once it is published, as exact set times can shift.
Do I need a clear bag for Nissan Stadium at CMA Fest?
Yes. Nissan Stadium enforces a clear-bag policy. One clear tote or crossbody no larger than 12x6x12 inches, or one small clutch no larger than 4.5x6.5 inches. Anything that does not meet the policy will not get through security. See our guide to the best clear bags for more detail.
What should I wear to a CMA Fest stadium show?
Jeans, boots or closed-toe shoes you can stand in for four-plus hours, and layers. Nissan Stadium is open-air so you will feel the June heat, then it cools once the sun goes down. A lightweight denim jacket or a tie-front flannel shirt over a tee handles both ends of the night. Full guide at our what-to-wear page.
Is CMA Fest the same as a regular Ella Langley headline show?
Not exactly. CMA Fest stadium shows are multi-artist nightly events packed with country acts across one big night. She will likely play a condensed set rather than a full headline runtime, so it is worth arriving early to catch everything and to get a good position.
