Lincoln Financial Field Bag Policy, Parking & Gates 2026

Lincoln Financial Field is an NFL stadium first and a concert venue second, and you feel that at the gate. The bag rules are the Eagles' rules, the walk from the far lots is longer than it looks on a map, and the entrance you should use depends on what kind of ticket you are holding. With Ella Langley playing direct support at the Linc on Saturday, August 1, this is the show-day guide we would want in our pocket.

First, make sure you have the right night

Morgan Wallen plays Lincoln Financial Field twice that weekend, and the support bills are different:

• Friday, July 31 -- Brooks & Dunn, Hudson Westbrook, Blake Whiten
• Saturday, August 1 -- Ella Langley (direct support), Hudson Westbrook, Blake Whiten

The Lincoln Financial Field bag policy, in plain English

This is the thing that turns people around at the gate, so here it is exactly as the stadium publishes it. You may carry one of these:

• A clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag no larger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches
• A one-gallon clear freezer bag (a Ziploc counts)

On top of that one bag, you may also carry a small clutch no larger than 4.5 x 6.5 inches, with or without a strap. So the maximum is clear bag plus clutch, not two clear bags.

Turned away: purses bigger than a clutch, backpacks, book bags, fanny packs, cinch bags, coolers, duffel bags, camera bags, binocular cases, grocery and paper bags, luggage of any kind. The stadium does not check bags, so an oversized bag means a walk back to your car.

Two things people miss. First, the bag rules apply at the stadium gates only -- the parking lots are not covered, so tailgating gear is fine until you head in. Second, there is a medical exception: medically necessary items, including insulin, medication, portable oxygen, small soft-pack coolers and breast pumps, are allowed after inspection, and you enter through the North Gate (next to the flagpoles by the Xfinity Gate). • Clear stadium-approved crossbody -- $12.98, within the 12 x 6 x 12 limit, hands free all night

What you can actually bring inside

Permitted after inspection, per the stadium's own list:

• Empty plastic water bottles (fill them at a fountain inside)
• Sunscreen -- worth it for an open-air August evening
• Food wrapped in clear plastic
• Blankets, which security will ask you to unfold at the gate
• Seat cushions up to 15 x 15 inches with no arm rests, zippers, pockets, flaps or metal backs
• Cameras with lenses under 5 inches, binoculars and tablets, as long as they are not in a non-clear case
• Signs, banners and flags smaller than 18 x 24 inches, handheld, event-related, no poles longer than 12 inches

Not allowed, and these are the ones that surprise people: umbrellas, selfie sticks, GoPros and any wearable video camera, aerosol cans including hairspray, e-cigarettes and vapes, strollers and infant car seats, noisemakers, beach balls, glitter, confetti and stickers, laser pointers, and outside beverages of any kind. Walk-through weapons detection is used at every entry point, so empty your pockets before you get to the front of the line.

Which gate you should walk to

This is the detail most bag-policy pages skip, and it matters more than any of the rest.

If you have a floor or general admission ticket, the South Gate is the designated floor entry. Not the nearest gate to your car -- the South Gate. The stadium publishes walking-route videos to it from every lot group, including the Wells Fargo lots (A-G), the stadium lots (K-L), the M-O and Jetro lots, P Lot, the ballpark lots (Q-X), and FDR Park. Walking to the wrong gate with a floor ticket is a 15-minute detour around the building with a crowd in your way.

If you have a bowl seat, use the gate nearest your section. If you are bringing medical items or nursing equipment, use the North Gate.

Parking, and what it costs

The stadium's published rates are straightforward:

Note that the concert rate is what applies on August 1, not the football rate you may have seen quoted elsewhere. Public lots include A/B/G/H, C/D, D/E, F/G/H, M/N, P, Q, R/W/X, T/S, U/V and the FDR lot; D/E, J, K and L are reserved.

Driving in, the two main approaches are I-95 to Broad Street, Exit 17, or I-95 to Packer Avenue, Exit 19, then left on Lincoln Financial Field Way. From the west, I-76 east to the Sports Complex, Exit 349. On the way out, Philadelphia Police direct traffic away from the complex on set patterns, so you may be routed somewhere you did not plan on -- go with it, it is designed to clear the lots.

The move that beats parking: SEPTA

If you are staying anywhere in Center City, skip the lot entirely. The Broad Street Line runs straight south to NRG station at Pattison Avenue, the last southbound stop, and drops you at the sports complex. From West Philly, take the Market-Frankford Line east to 15th Street and transfer to the Broad Street Line southbound -- the transfer at 15th is free. From the suburbs, Regional Rail to Suburban Station, walk the concourse to City Hall, then Broad Street Line south. Coming from South Jersey, PATCO to 12th/13th and Walnut connects to the Broad Street Line at Walnut-Locust.

Trains are scheduled to leave Pattison shortly after events end, and if the night runs past midnight, shuttle buses on Broad Street replace the trains. On rideshare: we would not build a plan around it. Pickup zones around the sports complex shift by event and surge pricing after a sold-out stadium show is brutal. The subway is the reliable exit.

Two nights of stadium country in South Philly means hotels move early. Rentals near the sports complex or in South Philly put you inside a short Broad Street Line ride of the gate:

Our show-day timeline for August 1

• Afternoon -- eat before you go in. Stadium lines at a sold-out country show are long and the good stands run out.
• At the listed door time -- be in line. Weapons detection plus a full stadium means the gate is the slow part, not the walk.
• Show start -- Hudson Westbrook and Blake Whiten run first, on a tight clock.
• After dark, right before Wallen -- Ella Langley's direct support set. This is the one you came for. Be in your seat, not in the beer line.
