We've been waiting for these two to get back in a room together, and Friday it finally happens. Ella Langley and Koe Wetzel have a new duet on the way called "Jaded," and it drops August 8 as part of the deluxe edition of Koe's album The Night Champion, per Whiskey Riff.

The Reunion Fans Have Been Hoping For

If you've followed Ella from the start, you know this pairing runs deep. Their first collaboration was "That's Why We Fight," the lead single from her 2023 debut EP Excuse the Mess — the song that helped put her on a lot of people's radar before "You Look Like You Love Me" ever hit. Rolling Stone went so far as to call Ella Koe's favorite duet partner, and honestly, listen to how their voices trade lines and it's hard to argue.

What We Know About Jaded

According to the reporting, "Jaded" is a funky, disco-tinged two-step about two people each trying to figure out how the other got so worn down on love — a moodier, groovier lane than "That's Why We Fight." It was written by Koe and Ella alongside Jordan Schmidt and ERNEST, and it arrives on the expanded version of The Night Champion, which stacks seven new tracks on top of the original eleven, as 93Q reports.

A Ridiculous Stretch for Ella

The timing is almost unfair. "Choosin' Texas" is still parked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 — 16 weeks and counting — and her duet with Morgan Wallen, "I Can't Love You Anymore," just climbed to a new peak of No. 2 on Country Airplay. Now she's got another high-profile collaboration landing before the weekend. She is everywhere on the charts right now, and adding a Koe Wetzel record only widens the net.

Mark your calendar for Friday, August 8. And if you're catching her live, the second leg of the Dandelion Tour kicks off August 20 in Green Bay — a "Jaded" live debut somewhere down that run feels like a matter of when, not if.
