ABOUT THE SONG
Some collaborations you have to explain. This one you just have to hear. "Here for the Party" is a Gretchen Wilson x Ella Langley studio duet of Wilson's 2004 signature hit, released June 26, 2026 — right after the two of them sang it together onstage at CMA Fest (the performance aired on ABC on June 25, 2026).
It's a cover, not an original, and that's the whole point: Gretchen Wilson's "redneck woman" era is the exact lineage Ella comes out of, so putting them on the same track is less a crossover than a handoff. The credits below are the original songwriters — Wilson, John Rich and Big Kenny — because it's their song; Ella and Gretchen are the voices on this version.
If you're new to Ella, this is a fun front door: a rowdy, familiar anthem sung by the artist who wrote it and the one carrying the torch. From here, the Dandelion album is where her own writing takes over.
