ABOUT THE SONG
What does 'Here for the Party' mean? It is Gretchen Wilson's 2004 rowdy-girl anthem: a woman announcing she came to have a good time, not to be told how to behave.
This version is Wilson's 2026 re-recording of her own song, featuring Ella Langley, released June 26, 2026 as the first taste of a fully re-recorded edition of Wilson's debut album. The two first sang it together at Langley's Ryman Auditorium show in November 2025, and opened the 2026 CMA Fest broadcast with it.
The songwriters are the original ones, Gretchen Wilson, John Rich and Big Kenny, because it is their song; Ella and Gretchen are the voices on this version.
