ABOUT THE SONG
What does 'Jaded' mean? It is a duet about what heartbreak leaves behind. Koe Wetzel and Ella Langley trade lines as two guarded people asking each other who hurt them and why they got so hard to reach, and both arrive at the same answer. There is no sign it is about a specific ex; it is a story song.
Langley and ERNEST had sketched the idea about a year earlier ('How'd you get so jaded?'), and it was finished when Wetzel joined them and Jordan Schmidt for a Nashville write on January 14, 2026. Schmidt and Gabe Simon produced it.
It is Wetzel's song, with Langley featured, and appears on the deluxe edition of his album The Night Champion. It is their second duet after 'That's Why We Fight' from Langley's 2023 EP Excuse the Mess.
