The pure-joy track. The one that has couples on their feet by the second chorus at every show.

ABOUT THE SONG

The Dandelion track that exists purely to make people happy. 'two-step lessons' is a 2:54 country two-step in the most literal sense — written to be danced to, structured around the exact tempo couples actually two-step at country bars (roughly 168 BPM).

The writers (Ella, Aaron Raitiere, Lori McKenna) have all talked about wanting one pure-joy song on the record. McKenna has said in interviews that she 'doesn't get to write happy songs very often' and this was her chance. Bundy's production keeps it traditional: fiddle (Stuart Duncan plays on the bridge), pedal steel, and an upright bass that's mixed up unusually loud. There's no synth, no pad, no production trickery — just a band playing in a room.

At every Dandelion Tour show, this is the song where the lights go up and the floor stops standing still. The unwritten rule, by April 2026, is that you find a partner before the second verse. It's the kind of song that ends with the band smiling at each other on the outro, and you can hear it on the studio recording too.
