Ella Langley played her first headline show at Red Rocks on Wednesday, October 7, and by her own count she flubbed a couple of lyrics because she kept looking up at the rocks. "I just keep looking up and seeing 'Dandelion' on the rocks and thinking ... that is pretty damn cool," she told the crowd, per Westword. She played 22 songs: 20 in the main set and a two-song encore. Gabriella Rose came out for "Butterfly Season" and Kameron Marlowe for "Strangers."

The order comes from the setlist.fm page for the show and lines up with the list printed in Westword's review. Walk-in music ("Hell at Night" and "Froggie Went a-Courtin'") played from tape before she came out, so we didn't count it. The shareable version is on the Red Rocks setlist page.
What stood out
The structure has settled. Compared with the Knoxville set two weeks earlier, "paint the town blue" and "Speaking Terms" have moved out of the encore and into the main set, so the encore is just the Toby Keith cover and "That's Why We Fight." It's the same shape she used in Moline on September 26. The one swap from Moline is that "Dreams," the Fleetwood Mac cover she sings with Laci Kaye Booth, was gone, since Booth wasn't on the Red Rocks bill.
The guest spots. Langley brought Gabriella Rose back out to sing "Butterfly Season," the song she wrote with Miranda Lambert, and said Rose would be "headlining Red Rocks three nights in a row soon enough." Marlowe came out for "Strangers," and Westword says the two of them giggled through it while Langley blamed his mustache.
The talking. Before "Somethin' Simple" she talked about almost quitting: "Thank God I didn't quit, because I wrote the biggest song of my career three months after a very low point." She called the last year "an answered prayer," thanked Lambert during the stripped-down bar-stool stretch, and finished with "This is a bucket list stage for every artist. I just want you to know I will remember this night for the rest of my life."
Set times, for anyone planning a later date: setlist.fm logged doors at 5:30 PM and Ella's set from 9:00 to 10:45 PM, with Gabriella Rose and Kameron Marlowe opening.
Were you there?
If you were at Red Rocks, tell us what the setlist doesn't show, like how loud it got for "Choosin' Texas" under the rocks or what she said between songs that we missed. The next stop was supposed to be Tulsa on October 9, but that show was canceled hours before showtime. The tour picked up again in Lubbock on October 10.
